When the Modern Malayalam Version of the Holy Bible was released on the 22nd of December, 2000, I had great expectations of its acceptance as it was the first of its kind with so many firsts attached to it in the 2000 year old history of the St.Thomas Christians of India.
Why should they appreciate ???
This was the only Bible which was published in modern Malayalam in the nine decade history of the Bible in the Malayalam language. Though its fonts had changed and the language had made tremendous progress, Christians in Kerala were using the old Bible as nothing else was available. In this Bible, variations from the ancient manuscripts were plenty but the Pundits remained silent. It was my prayer and desire that the Word of God should be easily understood by the readers irrespective of whether they are 8 or 80. So I prepared the first study Bible in Malayalam, the Vishudha Satya Vedapusthakam, with 26 features to help and aid the common man. The 1139 Chapters of the Bible were divided further into 2000 sections with a subtitle for each section, and a sub title index was included in the Bible so that any topic or incident could be found in a moment, making it the only Bible in any Indian language to have this feature.
But no appreciation came from the Christian Churches or leaders ? WHY ???
Some thought that I will take away their glory ;few others thought that it would affect their business as they were partners and officials of the Bible Society; there were still others claiming to be full of the Holy Spirit who said they couldn’t accept it as I had not taken adult baptism; some church leaders forced Christian book stores to avoid this Bible and for the last 9 years I was refused even a space of 100 sq ft for a Bible booth by a church which holds a mega convention annually.
And the end result ???
I had to leave the country where I stayed for 24 years …Pulp tabloids did their best to malign not only me but also my mentor and my spiritual sister because they stood with me. Some members of the clergy gave sermons by reading these newspapers… My kith and kin too were not happy because I had brought shame to them . My mother had a silent tear in her eyes because people in my parent church were criticizing me. Raaji (my wife) stood by me without ever making a complaint even when we became jobless overnight and had to leave the country of our residence for 24 years… Our children’s education were disrupted…My house in Trivandrum was stoned… Complaints were given against me to the highest authority in the police department. A bishop of my parent church said that God had finally heard his prayers and had punished me.
But my God never let me down. Jesus was with me in all these storms. Many in the ministry fell into the snares of Satan but God allowed a small remnant to be with me. No awards ! No rewards ! Though His overseers on earth didn’t even want to meet me, He was and is always with me… using this foolish man more and more … holding Gospel Festivals in metropolitan cities… giving away tens of thousands of Bibles to the Bibleless… establishing Bible Towers (Christian Book stores), Publishing the Worship Bible (Bible with 150 Christian Hymns), presenting the New Testament to the ethnic tribe Paniyas in their Paniya language and presenting the Gospel of Mark in the Jennu Kurumba language to the ethnic Jennu Kurumba tribe for the first time in history of the world… penning and tuning more than 180 Christian hymns …
And today … 2983 days after the storms had hit, my God has honored me at the International Christian Retail Show Luncheon, where Mr. Jim Powell, president of the CTAI introduced ‘THE CHRISTIAN WALK BIBLE’ (my toil for the last 8 years) as the first English Study Bible from Asia. I was given the opportunity to address the gathering and  Mr. Sylvester Ebeh, Chairman of the CTAI released ‘The Christian Walk Bible’ with prayer for the glory of His Kingdom, in the presence of distinguished guests from many countries of the world , including the great servant of God, Reinhard Bonnke. And soon after the release when hundreds crowded to get a copy of the ‘Christian Walk Bible” signed by me, my heart was in His presence singing…
“Then sings my soul my savior God to thee,
How great thou art, How great thou art!”

Hallelujah!! O Praise Jesus for his wonderful mercy. Yes! I am among the few of the remnants God so graciously kept aside through the storm. Though I’m sure I was not by any way worthy of the same, my Jesus’ abundant mercy kept my family and I in this fellowship and today I have no regrets nothing but the deepest joy and gratitude that I too am a part of this wonderful ministry lead by God’s Prophets. I take this opportunity to congratulate my beloved Vijayan uncle for this truly great accomplishment. Vijayan uncle, you continue to keep each of us in awe of your life. Thank you for being you – you are our pride, our spiritual father, mentor and guide; our very own hero!

Praise the Lord!! Hallelujah! When we go through trails and tribulations, it’s very difficult to keep faith ongoing till the end, but as always the victory lies at the end of the race to win the crown. Today the testimony of my spiritual father proves that and it inspires me and youngsters to keep our faith in all difficulties.

Dear Brother,
It was indeed a heartfelt reliving through those days when God has gifted us the Visudha Sathya Veda Pustakam through your hands. Yes Lord is with you and it is sad that many (including the Church/Spiritual leaders) who have experienced the touch of Holy Spirit from the Visudha Sathya Veda Pusthakam are not standing up to it.
I encourage and pray for those who go through these lines to think and act differently. It is a great blessing for us that Lord has made it possible to bring out The Christian Walk Bible too for the whole world in these days and thank God for providing you that great opportunity to present the new Bible in a grand way among the chosen vessels of God.
Brother your message is an eye opener to the lost values in our society. May God bring many to such realisation and repentance and restoration of God’s love in them.
I pray that Lord strengthen you for more such endeavours for the Word of God in many other languages.

The Lord has indeed been faithful, and praise His glorious name for the mighty ways in which He has been blessing and using His anointed servant! The post testifies to an ever faithful Lord who remains true even in the most fiery trials, even when the elected-ambassadors of the church on earth remain blind and seemingly oblivious!! But could this indifference, be the tip of the iceberg for something more serious? The translation of Bible and the scores of tribes without the Word in their own tongue have been glaring necessities that have existed as long as the traditional churches have, yet these churches with far more resources and manpower have seemingly chosen to do little about it?! If the news and prevalent media is anything to go by, then we have to believe that exorbitant sums of money are being spent in legal battles, to ‘claim’ what rightfully belongs to them.
Could it be that in being consumed by these worries, that the church is unable to look out to these ever glaring needs? Could it be these same worries and streamlined vision, that makes it apparently impossible for them to appreciate a servant of God who rose above the pettiness and chose to take on the challenges to meet these needs?
Would a Christ centered response, be really different?
If so, why have the churches fallen short or acted differently? If compromises have been made, then the season for accountability is here, because if Christ isn’t the center or the foundation of the church, then do we really have anything other than a much heralded tradition to fall back on or even claim about?
Kudos to Brother, for keeping the Vision real and more importantly keeping it alive!
Praise God!for the Honor Brother received at ICRS Convention at Denver with the release of Christian Walk Bible.The trials and tribulations of past nine years which brother and family went through got a soothing touch at ICRS. Christian Walk is never meant to be easy, and so did you prove magnificently for “The Christian Walk Bibleâ€. How much my heart rejoices in the Lord, as He has made me spellbound o’er the way He has honoured His chosen vessel! Heaven joins me too, to celebrate this pinnacle moment!!
“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.†(1 Cor. 2:9)
The God of love, the perfectionist, knew whom He had to choose for this divine purpose, and in which way He could make you receive this great blessing! Your faith in HIM has been your strength to step in all the fiery trials, & your perseverance through them all, long 8 years… has embarked you to this day which hark the beginning to glory!
This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. (Ps. 118:24)
The victory of human love is confusing.
The victory of divine love is illumining.
The victory of supreme love is fulfilling.
I pray to the Heavenly Father for enabling you & your family with the strength to surpass all these fearsome trials. At this feat I’m reminded of God’s promise, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.†(St. Matt. 5:10-12).
Just as St. Paul, was not earlier accepted by the other chosen apostles, unfortunately our churches have failed to understand the calling you have received. Nevertheless, amidst them, was an enlightened Barnabas who could see the flame of love towards God in St. Paul who finally became the Apostle of the Gentiles. In the same fashion, this day the true acceptance as one of the most passionate servants of God has been revealed to the world through the renowned and eminent servants of God in the CBA Conference.
I’ll always be thankful to God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ (2 Cor. 2:14)

Praise the Lord Almighty for enabling you to complete this wonderful work of God. All praise and glory to the Triune God who has blessed you and strengthened you thru all the turbulent trials and tribulations you underwent to spread God’s word amongst his people.
Like the saying goes “when the going gets tough the tough gets goingâ€. Though your journey in spreading God’ word has not been easy, you have stayed close to God’s grace and this has helped you to achieve the impossible for God.
