Today many modern Christian groups question the necessity of fasting prayers in their spiritual walk. \nJesus forewarned his followers about the adversary Satan and gave them a mighty weapon to defeat him \u2013 \u201cHowever,\u00a0this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.\u201d (Matthew 17:21) He proved that by his own life,\u00a0 defeating Satan by fasting and prayer.
